The building plans (an artist's image of the planned Islamic centre is pictured above) recently approved by Oldham Council make clear that what is proposed to be built is a four storey mosque and educational centre, yet the Oldham Evening Chronicle headline 'Giant mosque is given go-ahead' betrays the usual ‘mega- mosque’ alarmism we’ve come to see in articles on mosque building projects in the UK. Hat tip: Islamophobia Watch.
