ENGAGE receives response from Near East Group at FCO about sanctions on Iran

ENGAGE has received a response from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s Near East Group to a letter sent last month to the Foreign Secretary, William Hague, on his comment piece in the Times 'The clock is ticking. Iran must come to the table' (11 June 2010) and his defence in that of the UN decision to impose fresh sanctions on Iran.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s response not only fails to address our questions to William Hague on his comment piece, but inexcusably copies, almost word for word, its earlier correspondence with ENGAGE on the Gaza aid flotilla attack by Israeli commandos in late May 2010.
